Carole Williams

Fair Access Coordinator

Carol has been a part of Fair Access team since it started at RCS and she has been able to watch what we offer grow and develop, learning from all of our students along the way.

Carole is a graduate of the Conservatoire where she studied Contemporary Theatre Practice followed by a Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Arts Education. She studied at RCS as a mature student where she was able to turn a lifelong passion for theatre and performance into a career. She considers herself to be a lifelong learner taking every opportunity to develop new skills.

Carole is a theatre maker and facilitator and has worked extensively in the fields of health and wellbeing and social justice. She is also the National Drama Advisor for Scottish Community Drama and regularly travels across Scotland delivering skills workshops and support to drama clubs from Orkney to The Borders. She has also been fortunate enough to speak at an International Symposium in Canada about the importance of grassroots arts within communities.

Fair Access has always been at the core of everything Carole does, and she considers herself very lucky to be part of a passionate and nurturing team who always strive to support individuals on their creative paths.

Outside of work, Carole enjoys travelling and meeting new people along the way. She is an avid reader and enjoys simple things like spending time with family and good friends talking nonsense and laughing a lot!
