Emily

Emily was a dedicated player from an early age. Supported by Fair Access, Emily studied classical and jazz trumpet. But after receiving Distinction for Grade eight, Emily lost the desire to play. Rekindling their creative zest (and later, their love for the trumpet) Emily found their niche in BMus Composition. Passionate about taking opportunities, Emily says:

‘It’s important to explore other pathways in case something’s waiting for you, because it’s probably on a cherry tree to your right, you just need to turn around and look…there’s not just one cherry tree it’s a garden, with an apple tree and an orange tree.’
