Eve Cooper

MA Acting Classical and Contemporary Text
Class of 2026

About

Eve is an actor and collaborative theatre-maker currently studying on the MA Acting CCT course. Her work is rooted in play, curiosity, and collaboration. She is interested in how people connect, and what is left unsaid when they try to.

She studied Theatre and English at the University of Bristol, where she began exploring devising and physical storytelling. Research into companies like Gecko shaped her approach to process and imagination, especially their idea of growing performance from small ‘seed’ moments. Workshops with practitioners such as Action Hero opened up an interest in cabaret-style work, while studying movement artists like Jasmin Vardimon deepened her understanding of social justice themes and non-verbal performance.

During her childhood, she spent time with Simply Theatre Academy in Geneva, performing in classical and contemporary adaptations, as well as musical showcases. That early experience gave her confidence in ensemble work and a love of the rehearsal room.

Throughout and after her degree, she worked with Bristol-based, female-led theatre companies such as Talkers and Doers, helping to develop new writing and collaborate with emerging voices. She’s drawn to stories about relationships – often, but not exclusively, with elements of farce and clowning – and enjoys finding truth in moments of playfulness.

In her final year at Bristol, she co-created a devised piece as part of a collaborative research collective, combining physical theatre with academic exploration. The process pushed her boundaries and confirmed her love of ensemble work.

At RCS, she aims to continue developing a practice that is physical, responsive, and rooted in honesty and connection.
