František Heřmánek

MFA Acting Classical and Contemporary Text
Class of 2027

About

František was born to a family of artists in Prague, Czech Republic. In 2020, he moved to the United Kingdom to study at King’s College London, where he graduated with an MSci first-class honours degree in Computer Science. While studying, he trained with the National Youth Theatre, appeared in two student productions, and completed the Four-week Acting for Film workshop at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. After graduation, he had the privilege of training with the Prague Shakespeare Company, which gave him the opportunity to appear in a number of the Bard’s greatest classics, including as Edgar in King Lear, Proteus in Two Gentlemen of Verona, Lorenzo in The Merchant of Venice, and others. This allowed him to perform on the stages of some of the most prestigious theatre venues in Prague – the Estates theatre and the Prague castle – as well as tour to Vienna, Verona and Bremen.
