Hamish (Tish) Wood
Hamish (Tish) Wood is a British Modern Ballet student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He grew up training in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and street dance. He left home at fourteen to begin his vocational studies at the London Russian Ballet School. In 2021 he relocated to Scotland to pursue the BA programme where he is set to graduate in July. He is signed to Model Team Scotland and has choreographed and danced for music videos and commercials, as well as modelled in editorials and international campaigns. He is both a creative and a performer, in-tuned to the classical and contemporary.
Hamish has had many opportunities to work with guest choreographers, such as Christopher Bruce, Mark Bruce, Constant Vigier and Nicholas Shoesmith. He has enjoyed his many performances here, including the graduation shows, showcases at the Gleneagles hotel, and collaboration productions with the musician students.
Hamish would love to thank the BA Modern Ballet faculty for their engagement and genuine dedication to their teaching. He has enjoyed strengthening his classical and contemporary technique throughout the duration of the course, whilst also exploring his artistry and individuality as a dancer. He has developed his choreographic skills, through music videos, commercials, end of year showcases, and the annual PLUG performances. Hamish has also acquired valuable skills through engaging in the role of class Student Representative.
Hamish is excited about what is to come in the next stage of his career and looks forward to putting the skills he has acquired during his training into practice.
