Lauren has worked regularly on principal horn with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Opera north and Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and has also played with the London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Scottish Ballet. She has played on various soundtracks, including the video games Avatar and Star Wars Outlaws, and freelanced with various orchestras in Germany before moving to Scotland.
Lauren’s teaching style is deeply shaped by her time abroad, working with Christian Dallmann in Germany and Hector McDonald in Austria, where she spent a year specialising in Vienna Horn, after finishing her undergraduate at Guildhall in London. Her deep technical knowledge of playing and performance mentality, helps her students establish structure and clear developmental goals, so that their playing can flourish with a solid grounding and confidence.
