Lee Holland

Performance Psychology Coach and Lecturer

Lee Holland has a successful and varied freelance career involving performing, and performance psychology coaching throughout the UK. Currently as a freelance orchestral flute player Lee performs regularly with the Orchestra of Scottish Opera, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and Orchestra of Scottish Ballet.

Lee is hugely dedicated to psychologically supporting performers through her business Mental Note Performance Ltd. Her work regularly extends from training international professional musicians, ballet dancers, actors, corporate professionals and those in sport (most recently endurance running and synchronised figure skating) to help support and coach how to thrive under pressure.

Lee strongly believes in supporting the next generation of performers and regularly lectures and trains undergraduate and post graduate students at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and music schools across the UK. She holds an MSc in Performance Psychology and Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh and Derby University, Professional and Executive Coaching certificates from Full Circle Global, and teaching qualifications from the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University and the Mindfulness Association. She is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS) and is a registered practitioner through the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM).
