Li-Hsin Chu
Li-Hsin was born and trained in Taiwan. She received a variety of dance trainings at National Chu-pei Senior High School before joining the BA Modern Ballet programme.
During Li-Hsin’s time at RCS, she enjoyed the range of classes apart from classical and contemporary dance. The opportunities to work with different teachers and choreographers through workshops and rehearsals were also important part of her journey. Having been working on various styles and with different people, she gained valuable experiences from performances such as Piano and Dance, Glassworks, and Graduation Shows.
The different types and styles of dance and the choreography skills she has learnt make her a creative student choreographer. During her first year, she made a solo piece, Foreign Night, which was performed in the 2023 Graduation Shows. She won the choreography competition 2023 with the piece, Essence, which was staged in the 2024 Graduation Shows as well. She enjoyed the creative process and is working with a composition student for another piece to be staged in PLUG performance.
Li-Hsin would like to thank all the staff and fellow students for their support inside and outside of studio, making a positive learning environment and creating lots of precious moments throughout the three years.
