Marian Bruce

Marian trained as a dancer under Dame Marie Rambert and performed in her company in the 1960s, later continuing to dance with various companies in Europe. In 1970 she began her studies in the visual arts, obtaining a Master’s degree in printmaking at Wimbledon School of Art. Sculpture and installation are her main practices. Her parallel career in Theatre design began with Rooster for Ballet Geneve in 1990. Her design credits include: Nature Dances, Crossing, Steel Garden, Grinning in Your Face, Hurricane, Quicksilver, Meeting Point, Dance at the Crossroads, Hush, Stream, Ten Poems, Three Songs – Two Voices, Old Demons, Moonlight Drive, Angel, Black Bird/Red Rose, Dive, Bad History, Sea of Bones and Love and War.
