Monet Debose is an actor, writer, theatre and film-maker from the American state of southern hospitality, Texas. Her passion to capture the beauty of ordinary human stories brings depth, love and life to her work on stage and screen. As a black woman, her desire is to amplify stories that centre on the truths and perseverance of marginalized communities on every continent through drama, comedy and documentary storytelling. Her use of music and movement in her work serves as a transcendent way to share global stories. Before coming to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, she worked as a professional actress in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for three years acting in 8 shows in the span of 3 years.
