Sophie Harwood

BA Production Technology and Management Class of 2027

Bio:

Sophie is a second-year sound student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. She is due to graduate in 2027. After graduating, she plans to specialise in musical theatre. She wants to fully embrace the opportunity to work on a variety of shows whilst studying in the Conservatoire, such as acting, opera and immersive shows and looks forward to learning about different roles within the department.
Before gaining a place on the BA Production Technology and Management course, Sophie was a Junior Conservatoire student for 2 years which allowed her to work in the Conservatoire venues before working at degree level. This included many production roles across several disciplines. A highlight was working on ‘Orchestra’ a production created for ‘National Theatre Connections’ (2024). This was performed at the Conservatoire and The Beacon Theatre, Greenock.
Alongside her studies, Sophie has recently gained professional experience with Solotech, working with the sound team on the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo (2025). Previously, she worked as a sound technician at the Royal Albert Hall on the ‘Music for Youth Proms’ (2023) and more locally, as a general technician for Paisley Opera (2023).
