About
Tabitha is an emerging Scottish Theatre-maker. She has a first-class undergraduate MA in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh where she focused her studies on adaptation from page to screen, and the impact of form on narrative storytelling. Hence, plays adapted from other mediums, such as short stories or poems, are of particular interest to her. She also studied Shakespeare, specifically his comedies, and has a keen interest in the linguistic humour therein. She previously trained at the Royal Lyceum Youth Theatre, Edinburgh, and where she performed in Hacktivists as part of National Theatre: Connections.
She is especially interested in working with new writing, recently directing Can’t Talk Right Now, a new one woman play, at the 2025 Edinburgh and Camden Fringe Festivals.
She also has a strong interest in the aesthetic language of the stage, and incorporating movement, design and visual metaphor into her productions to explore issues such as class, gender and grief. She is looking forward to integrating this passion into her studies.
