Xinrui Chen

Bio:

Xinrui Chen is currently studying on the Masters Vocal Performance Course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she works with Julian Tovey and Lorna Anderson. She previously studied Vocal Performance at the Nanjing University of the Arts and Xiamen Music School.

Operatic roles include Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) and Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), both directed by Mark Hathaway.

Xinrui has given a number of solo recitals, including her graduation recital in Nanjing and performances as part of the Young Artistic Talent Development Programme concert series. She is a prize winner of several competitions, including First Prize at the China–Russia Youth International Vocal Competition and First Place in the Taizhou Division of the China Golden Bell Award for Music.
