Overview
Our national schools workshops are for S5-6 pupils across Scotland. We prioritise schools located in areas with a high percentage of students from SIMD20 postcodes.
Delivered in your school by industry professionals, these workshops ensure that young people from all regions across the country have access to high-quality performing and production arts education and industry expertise.
Each session is carefully crafted to be interactive and engaging, allowing pupils to explore their creativity, and gain practical experience. Young people will not only develop their skills but also gain insight into potential career pathways and other opportunities within the creative industries.
The workshops are particularly relevant to pupils studying the Creative Industries, Music, Drama, Art and Design, Media, Film or Technology, our sessions complement and enrich your expressive arts curriculum.

About Fair Access
The purpose of Fair Access is to help people from the most deprived communities in Scotland have the same chance at entering Higher Education as someone from the least deprived areas. We mainly work with those aged 16-21+ who are statistically less likely to attend university.
We provide eligible individuals, schools, communities and professionals with a wide range of activity, including:
- Outreach
- Professional development for teachers
- Supportive artist and partnership projects
Our main aim is to help young people from a Fair Access background prepare for Higher Education at RCS. This helps us to ensure wider societal representation at our institution and in the creative industries.
