Let's Talk About... Working with Care Experienced and Estranged People in the Performing/Production Arts

The Impact of Digital Learning on Fair Access Students at RCS

The Sounding Out project: Why Pedagogy Matters in Supporting CEYP
Let’s Talk About…
Let’s Talk About… is curated by the Fair Access Department and funded by the William Grant Foundation. It reaches across art forms, age ranges and geographical locations in Scotland and takes a curious and compassionate approach to learning.
The project aims to:
- Enable spaces for artists to explore and reflect on their creative practice in the context of working with care experienced and estranged young people.
- Improve RCS Fair Access knowledge of how best to engage with and support care experienced and estranged students.
- Be young person led and centred.
- Nurture confidence, autonomy and employability in the project participants.
- Connect a community of artists, practitioners, teachers and other professionals working in this field.

In Conversation With…
In Conversation With… is our Fair Access podcast. It began in 2020, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
When people were practicing social distancing, shielding and experiencing isolation in an unprecedented way, it was more important than ever to nurture connection and community and we thought that conversation was one way of doing this. We used conversation as an artistic research tool to explore ideas, approaches, and practices in order to better understand our students, communities and audiences.
