RCS appoints new Director of Finance and Director of Estates and Infrastructure

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland has appointed two senior leaders to head its finance and estates and infrastructures teams.

Fiona Duncanson has been appointed Director of Finance. Fiona is currently Business Director at St George’s School in Edinburgh.

A chartered accountant, she started her career with PwC before moving to Edinburgh Napier University as a finance business partner, working closely with the business school and the property and facilities department.

Fiona left Napier to work in the finance team at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland before joining St George’s in 2022.

As a non-exec, Fiona serves as treasurer of One Parent Families Scotland and the Edinburgh Youth Orchestra.

 

Jo White has been appointed Director of Estates and Infrastructure. An architectural graduate from The Glasgow School of Art, Jo had an extensive architectural career at a senior level in private practice before joining the University of Edinburgh in 2022 as Estates Development Manager.

In this role, she has been responsible for the development of and programme management of significant academic building projects including the New Darwin Building, a new engineering building and the green hub space within Appleton Tower.

Jo is a STEM ambassador and has a special interest in urban design and sustainability.

Fiona and Jo will join RCS in the coming months.
