War in Ukraine is having a devastating impact with far-reaching consequences. Lives are being lost, homes and futures destroyed, families displaced and fearful of what the future holds for their children and communities.
In the new academic year this September, a number of young artists from Ukraine will be starting or resuming their studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Due to their status as refugees from Ukraine, their fees will be covered by the Scottish Government as Home students. However many will need considerable support to cover the costs incurred by arriving in Scotland from a war-torn country, including help with instruments, equipment and living costs.
That’s why RCS has established the Ukrainian Students Bursary Fund to help these young people pursue their creative ambitions in Scotland.
Generous supporters have already come forward to offer financial support, but we can only continue to do so with your help. We want young artists from Ukraine to thrive as individuals and as artists here in Scotland and here at RCS. Your help in doing that will be invaluable and much appreciated.
