Big Guitar Weekend
Big Guitar Weekend returns! This year our annual celebration for guitar showcases the talents of a line-up that includes Laura Husbands, Jonathan Leathwood, Jack Hancher, Kristina Vårlid, Thomas Viloteau, Sasha Savaloni, Tim Beattie and the BGW Guitar Orchestra & BGW artists.
From classical virtuosity to cutting-edge innovation, experience the guitar’s rich and diverse qualities in a variety of events across a full weekend of music and performance. Join us to celebrate the instrument’s wide-ranging appeal.

75 Years of Stage and Screen
In 1950, the Royal Scottish Academy of Music (as RCS was known then) established its College of Dramatic Art. Since then, generations of students have trained with us to work both onstage and off, and in front of the camera and behind it.
To mark this 75th anniversary, we’ll be celebrating the breadth, depth and richness of the work that Stage and Screen students and staff – past and present – have created. With special events, including performances, alumni meetups and more, we hope that you will join us in celebrating this special anniversary.

Fair Access
The Fair Access department at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland has undergone a transformation, bringing all our exciting programmes under the single banner of Fair Access.
As we say goodbye to the WACI and Transitions programmes, we continue to provide the same support for young people moving into performing and production arts training. This includes our new credit rated Access Courses, Get Into courses, our outreach activity through schools and communities, support for teachers, and online resources allowing young people across Scotland to get involved.
