Our advice lessons are currently closed.
**Update**
Our advice lessons for the 26/27 recruitment cycle have now closed. Our booking form will reopen in May/June 2026, for advice lessons relating to the 27/28 recruitment cycle.
One-to-one Principal-Study lessons are at the heart of any conservatoire course. An advice lesson here at RCS gives you the chance to experience the RCS working environment and assess the suitability for conservatoire education.
Advice Lessons are available in-person at our Renfrew Street campus or online via Microsoft Teams. The conservatoire arranges advice lessons with its teaching staff for £40 per 30mins.
Please note we do not offer advice lesson for Conducting.

Arranging advice lessons is dependent on the availability of staff. While we will do everything we can to put arrangements in place, it often takes significantly longer, to arrange lessons outside of term time. If we cannot organise a lesson for you within 28 working days, then we will refund you your payment fee (if we have already received a payment receipt from you as proof of purchase). Please be aware that our teaching staff do not work on weekends.

Advice Lessons Payment
Pay online through the RCS Box Office. Clicking the ‘Pay Now’ button below will take you to an online shopping basket with one advice/consultation lesson (at £40) automatically added to the cart. If you are paying for more than one lesson, then you can simply edit the quantity.
Unfortunately we no longer offer the option to pay by bank transfer. If you can’t make a card payment, please get in touch with us at hello@rcs.ac.uk and we can advise on how to move forward.
