Lecturer in Voice (SDDPF) and the Centre for Voice in Performance (CViP)

Bill trained as an actor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (then RSAMD) in 1990. After several years of professional work on stage, screen and radio, he began to teach Performing Arts at Coatbridge College. He joined the Centre for Voice in Performance CViP at the Conservatoire in 2007 and after engaging in further voice work with Nadine George of Voice Studio International, he became an accredited teacher in 2012.

Bill completed the Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Arts Education in 2008 and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Bill has directed in a freelance capacity with Grinagog Childrens’ Theatre and for pantomimes with Glasgow Life.

Bill has an interest in physical theatre and has trained with East 15, Al Seed, Ewan Downie, Alex Rigg, Anna-Helena McLean, Joan Cleville Dance and the British Grotowski Project.  Bill appeared in and offered voice support to The Shadow of Heaven (Al Seed and Judith Milligan) ‘a Hieronymous Bosch painting made flesh’ The List, 2018.

Bill occasionally performs as an actor on stage and screen, and regularly appears as a singer with Jericho Hill, a tribute to Johnny Cash.

Bill has worked in a variety of settings over his thirty-five years in the arts.
