David Higham

Associate Head of Musical Theatre & Co-Ordinator of MA & PGD Musical Directing Strands

David Higham is a Musical Director based in Scotland. He currently co-ordinates the MA and PGD Musical Directing strands on the Musical Theatre programme at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland as well as working in many theatres across Scotland as a Musical Director/Orchestrator and Vocal Coach.

 

David’s musical directing credits include: The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Chicago (Pitlochry Festival Theatre), The Choir (Citizens Theatre, Glasgow/ ATG), Violet, Sunday in the Park with George, Chess, Cabaret, Our House, Betty Blue Eyes, Little Shop Of Horrors, Into the Woods (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), Dance Derby (Company Cordelia/Scottish Opera), Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella (The Beacon, Greenock)

MD/Orchestrator: The Wizard of Oz (Citizens Theatre, Glasgow) Godspell and Notes to Self (RCS)

Keyboard experience includes Wicked (Apollo Victoria, London and UK Tour), and Mamma Mia! (Prince Edward Theatre, London), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (UK/International Tour), West Side Story (UK tour) and production MD for High Society and Little Shop of Horrors (Pitlochry Festival Theatre).
