Haven Ward
Class of 2026
About
Originally from Orange County, California, Haven began dancing at the age of five and later trained full-time at Dmitri Kulev Classical Ballet Academy, graduating from the Professional Training Program in 2023.
During her time there, she performed a wide range of classical repertoire with Orange County Ballet Theater, dancing principal roles such as Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, and Marie/Clara in The Nutcracker. She also appeared in productions including Jewels, Le Corsaire, La Bayadère, and several original works.
In addition to classical ballet, Haven has studied ballroom, commercial, and contemporary dance. She has further trained at prestigious summer intensives including Princess Grace Academy, English National Ballet School, School of American Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Bolshoi Ballet Academy.
Throughout her years of study, Haven received recognition at national competitions, placing in the top three at Youth America Grand Prix, California Dance Classics, and ADC IBC. In 2020, she was awarded a Spotlight Merit Scholarship and qualified for the finals again in 2023.
After graduating high school with high honors, Haven chose to pursue academics at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Although she valued the experience, her passion for ballet ultimately led her back to full-time dance with renewed focus and dedication.
Since joining the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Haven has enjoyed refining both her classical and contemporary technique, collaborating on new creative projects, and working with inspiring choreographers. She looks forward to joining Colorado West Ballet as an apprentice and continuing to grow as an artist throughout her professional career.
