Jemima Bath
Class of 2026
About
Jemima Bath is originally from the Highlands of Scotland, where she began ballet classes at her local dance school before moving to Perthshire. During this time, she trained with Scottish Ballet Associates from Juniors through to Seniors, while also attending the Junior Modern Ballet programme. She additionally undertook private training through the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, completing her examinations up to Advanced 2 prior to joining the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
I am incredibly thankful for the nurturing environment that all of the faculty have provided throughout my time on the BA Modern Ballet programme. Their guidance has refined my abilities in both classical and contemporary disciplines, while also helping me grow artistically and professionally in preparation for my professional career.
I have benefited greatly from the exceptional coaching in contemporary technique and have thoroughly enjoyed developing this style both artistically and technically. I also feel that I have gained invaluable experience through the wide range of performance opportunities offered at the conservatoire, learning from choreographers such as Christopher Buch, Jessica Fyfe, Kia Smith, Diana Loosmore, and Daniel Davidson. Which have all challenged me to perform their choreography at professional standards, and have widened my movement vocabulary. During my training, I have performed in numerous internal and collaborative productions at venues including the Gleneagles Hotel, the Stevenson Hall, Princes Square, and the New Athenaeum Theatre.
In my final year at the RCS, I completed my Solo Seal Award exam with coaching from Kerry Livingstone, an experience through which I pushed myself both technically and artistically to perform my solos to the highest standard. This is an experience which i would not have been able to do without the exceptional ballet faculty at rcs, and i am privileged to have been coached to the standard necessary to take this exam.
