Madeleine Newington

About

Born in Buckinghamshire, Madeleine started ballet when she was 3 years old. She began her pre -vocational training locally and with the Royal Ballet School Senior associates programme before starting her full time training at RCS in 2023. She has thoroughly enjoyed her 3 years at RCS so far and is looking forward to what the future holds.

During her time at the conservatoire, Madeleine has greatly benefited from the amazing training and performance opportunities the course has to offer. Over the Past 3 years Madeleine has been fortunate enough to work with a wide range of choreographers, including the incredible Christopher Bruce and has performed at wonderful venues, her most memorable being the Gleneagles hotel and the New Atheneum Theatre. Most recently she has been part of the Scottish Ballet winter tour of the Snow Queen and is so grateful for this incredible professional experience.

Madeleine is incredibly grateful for the outstanding training and support she has received from the teaching staff, she feels this course has allowed her to develop technically as a dancer but also has given her the tools and confidence needed to develop artistically. She would like to thank everyone who made her experience at RCS so enjoyable. The supportive environment and lifelong friends made through this course has truly shaped her into the dancer and person she is today. She excited to see what the future holds after she graduates this summer.
