Marion Wilson

Junior Conservatoire Lecturer, Violin

Marion is currently Associate Principal 2nd Violin with the RSNO. She has taught at the RCS Junior Conservatoire since the early 2000s, has coached on NYOS Symphony Orchestra courses for approximately 10 years, and has taught numerous pupils privately.

Marion Wilson was a pupil at The Purcell School and at Junior Guildhall, before going on to study violin with Itzak Rashkovsky at the Royal College of Music, where she was awarded a Senior Exhibition and a Countess of Munster Scholarship. Here she gained a BMus (hons), Diploma RCM Peformance (1st class) and Diploma RCM Teachers. She was awarded several prizes for violin performance and a place on the LSO String Experience Scheme.

She moved to Glasgow to join the RSNO where she is Associate Principal 2nd Violin and performs extensively throughout Scotland (and the world!), as well as recording regularly.
