Martin Mallorie began his career in professional theatre over thirty years ago and has worked extensively in design, music, prop making, prosthetics, pyrotechnics and animatronics.

Graduating as a sculptor from Liverpool College of Art and Design in the seventies, Martin began his professional career as a freelance designer and prop maker, finding a demand for prosthetics skills in his earliest jobs.

Martin worked on stage, film and TV productions throughout Europe, and at Tussaud’s workshops in London before joining the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester as Prop Maker and Prosthetics Specialist.

Martin came to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2004 as Lecturer in Design and Props.
