Megumi McKillop
Megumi McKillop joined the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2021. She holds an MFA in Technical Theatre Design from the University of Calgary (2021), a Certificate in Pedagogy from Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning (2021), and an Advanced Diploma in Entertainment Technology from St. Clair College (2012).
Megumi’s previous roles include Head Scenic Artist at Thousand Islands Playhouse (Gananoque, Ontario) and Sudbury Theatre Centre (Sudbury, Ontario), and as the Assistant Head Scenic Artist at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre (Winnipeg, Manitoba). She was formally a member of IATSE local 828 and 212.
Selected freelance work includes: the Grand Theatre (London, Ontario), Theatre Aquarius (Hamilton, Ontario), Shaw Festival Theatre (Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario), Théâtre Français de Toronto (Toronto, Ontario).
In addition to her theatre work, Megumi has worked in various fabrication shops producing scenic elements for clients such as Universal Studios, Tokyo Disney, and HBO.
