Ray Tallan
Head of Film
Ray has a background in cinematography and began his journey into education provision in 2008.
Ray began his teaching at the FE level at multiple colleges in Scotland while providing education for community and outreach projects. He moved to RCS to deliver camera classes on the previous BA DFTV (Honours) programme before taking on the role of Lecturer in Cinematography and then taking over as Head of Programme in 2017 and designing the current BA Filmmaking degree.
His links with the Scottish industry and education network, alongside his passion for learning and teaching, ensure the drive for continued development and current practice is at the leading edge of the department.
