Renee Wong

BA Modern Ballet

Class of 2026

About

Renee grew up in Hong Kong, and trained at the Hong Kong Youth Ballet Academy until she was 16 years old. Then, she moved to Sydney and started her full time training at the Tanya Pearson Academy, where she gained much performance experience, including dancing on the Sydney Opera House stage. Before joining the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s BA Modern Ballet course in 2024, Renee had the incredible opportunity of being chosen to participate in the Prix de Lausanne’s Asia-Pacific pre-selections, which took place in Macau.

Renee has immensely enjoyed every moment of her two years at RCS. She has performed a variety of dance styles and worked with choreographers such as Christopher Bruce, Jessica Fyfe, and Kia Smith. In her graduate year, she is grateful to have been chosen to go on tour with the Scottish Ballet for their winter production of ‘Snow Queen’. Renee worked alongside professional company members for ‘Snow Queen’ during rehearsals and has been taught by several guest teachers during company class.

Finally, Renee is really thankful for her teachers at RCS for all their guidance and support, as well as her friends and family for believing in her. She is excited to start a new chapter after graduation and cannot wait to see where that takes her.
