He works as a principal study tutor and teaches classes in vocal pedagogy and performance; beyond this he maintains a passionate interest in current and historical pedagogical perspectives on vocal performance, including an interest in the role that technology may have to play in enhancing training for singers.

Scott has adjudicated at several competitions and music festivals and is a regular summer school tutor, previously at AIMS, now at the Royal Conservatoire.
