Stirling Strings Music Centre – Bannockburn High School

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Junior Conservatoire and Stirling Council are offering the opportunity for children in Primary 4 and 5 (as of August 2020) to receive instrumental tuition in violin, viola, cello and mini/double bass (classical) supported through funding from the Youth Music Initiative.

Due to Covid-19, we are currently delivering our Music Centre programmes online in Term 1. We will continue to review the situation and update parents/carers on any changes to this in line with government guidance. The safety and wellbeing of our students and teaching staff remains our highest priority.

Due to support from Creative Scotland’s Youth Music Initiative scheme, the RCS Music Centres ‘Inspire’ programme will offer children in P4 and P5 the opportunity to attend the RCS Stirling Music Centres Saturday programmes free of charge. After the initial ‘Inspire’ years, there will be a charge for participation for students in P6 onwards. This cost is subsidised by the RCS, with various concessionary rates in place. For an indication of cost, please see our 2020/21 fees.

Please note that applications for our Stirling Music Centres are currently closed If you would like to be placed on our waiting list, please email musiccentre@rcs.ac.uk
