The RCS Innovation Studio is piloting a new strand of research and development (R&D) labs dedicated to working with industry partners on collaborative research and innovation projects.

The initiative connects businesses to creative talent, research expertise, and specialist facilities at the Conservatoire, creating opportunities to test new ideas, develop prototypes, and explore solutions to real-world creative challenges.

Deborah Keogh, Head of Engagement at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, said: “We were delighted to partner with Copper Candle on this new aspect of our engagement work. Being able to share the expertise of our staff, students, and graduates in exploration with industry colleagues presents such wonderful opportunities for collaboration, new ways of working, creative problem-solving as well as building skills for the future.”

Two further Industry R&D labs will take place between now and the end of the year, expanding the Conservatoire’s portfolio with industry partners.
