Performing & Production Arts Challenge
Delivered by RCS in partnership with Converge, the Performing & Production Arts Challenge supports performers, producers, and technicians in the performing arts to transform their artistic talents into thriving business opportunities.
If you’re curious about entrepreneurship, this challenge provides a safe space to test and validate your ideas and take the first steps towards developing a company.
You’ll have a chance to win £5,000 to help get your company started, as well as:
- In-person, expert-led company development workshops
- Mentorship from creative practitioners
- Cohort of like-minded creatives
- Opportunity to pitch to industry professionals
Open to all RCS students, staff, and alumni within 3 years of graduation.
The application deadline is Thursday 2 April 2026.
SHIFT
Open to all RCS students, and alumni within 3 years of graduation, SHIFT is a weeklong program focused on how you can live and work as an artist through an intensive series of online workshops, small breakout conversations, creative activities and one-to-one clinics.
Take One Step
For use by all RCS staff, students, and alumni, Take One Step is a digital tool designed to help you work out the next step for your project or career. Answer questions to determine your next point of focus, one step at a time, with simple and clear advice provided along the way with examples.
This is a brilliant resource to help you plan for your career, and a useful step to take before attending a 1:1 Creative Clinic.
Take One Step will be live and available for use in early 2026.

Have an idea, but not sure where to start? Not sure if what you have is just an idea, could be a company, should be a charity or something else all together? If you don’t know which part of CEDO would be most helpful for you, first you can meet with Stephanie Edwards (Knowledge Exchange Development Officer) to determine a plan of action. Stephanie can help guide you through CEDO’s offers and help connect you to external support outside of RCS.
