- Introduce you to the key concepts, theories, and histories of the field of Sound and Music Theatre;
- Provide a discursive and collegiate space to explore the relationships between sound/music and theatrical forms with peers and industry specialists;
- Introduce you to some key industry specialists through visiting artist lectures in order to widen your network of artists and companies within the field of Sound and Music Theatre;
- Enable you to develop a performance proposal or research project that critically contextualises performance work within this divergent and vibrant field.
During the course students will:
- Introduce you to the key concepts, theories, and histories of the field of Sound and Music Theatre;
- Provide a discursive and collegiate space to explore the relationships between sound/music and theatrical forms with peers and industry specialists;
- Introduce you to some key industry specialists through visiting artist lectures in order to widen your network of artists and companies within the field of Sound and Music Theatre;
- Enable you to develop a performance proposal or research project that critically contextualises performance work within this divergent and vibrant field.
You will be assessed through a 15-20 minute presentation.
