The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland hosts a variety of open days, admissions and department events, providing opportunities to get to know what life is like studying at RCS — a place Like Nowhere Else. We also attend external events across the country, so please come and say hello if you are attending. More information on where to find us is listed below.
Open Days
School of Music Open Days
Music Open Day – Undergraduate & Postgraduate, Renfrew Street Campus: 9.30am – 5pm, 14 May 2026
- All performance pathways at Undergraduate and Masters level will be covered in this open day.
- Please note, do not book any travel or accommodation until you have received a confirmation email from the recruitment team, which will come after you have registered for the event. If we reach capacity, you will be placed on a waiting list and an update will be sent accordingly.
- Our event specific registration form will be available to complete a minimum one month prior to the open day. To register to attend, please complete the form here
Education Open Day, Renfrew Street Campus. Our next open day will take place on Monday 18th May 2026.

School of Stage and Screen and School of Dance Open Days
Our Stage and Screen Open Days will be taking place on the following dates:
- BA Production Technology & Management – 5 October 2026
- BA Production Arts & Design – 9 October 2026
- BA Arts with Community – 16 October 2026
- BA Filmmaking – 19 October 2026
- BA Modern Ballet – 23 October 2026
- BA Acting and BA Performance for Deaf and HoH Actors – 26 October 2026
- BA Musical Theatre – 13 November 2026
Registration for events will open in September. Join our mailing list to be notified once registration has begun. Places at our open days are limited, please do not book travel or accommodation until you have received a booking confirmation from our team.
Online Information Sessions
Our Information Sessions will provide an overview of RCS and our courses, admissions and audition processes, fees and funding, student support and more. They will take place on Microsoft Teams each month at the following dates and times. You can register to attend a session by following the relevant links below:

Distance Learning Discovery Sessions
Our distance learning programmes offer a series of free online Discovery Sessions exploring various questions around a variety of central themes. By taking part in these sessions, led by the programme heads, you’ll experience how these postgraduate degrees challenge you to reflect on your ideas, beliefs and professional development priorities. After registering for a session, you will receive confirmation email letting you know how to join the meeting.
