Drama

Page Navigation

The Oresteia opens with Agamemnon sacrificing his daughter to the gods; an act which sets in motion a bloody cycle of revenge and counter-revenge. In This Restless House, Zinnie Harris reimagines Aeschylus‘s ancient drama, using a contemporary sensibility to interpret its events, while placing women at its very heart.

RCS BA Acting students perform the first part of Harris’s trilogy, Agamemnon’s Return.

Runtime: 2 Hours 30 Minutes (incl. interval)

This performance contains coercive behaviour, violence, partial nudity, blood, and themes of death and murder.
It also contains flashing lights, strobing, sudden loud noises and latex.
