fills the plain

‘fills the plain’ was written for Calum Huggan and Angela Wai-Nok Hui for their Percussion concert at the Plug 2021 Festival on the 21st of May, 2021.

I had a sound image of a whole array of triangles all ringing and saturating an empty, absolutely plain space, in concurrent moments of instant brightness. (brightness is understood here as ‘too much to bear’, joy or despair or nothings).
