What is Converge Challenge?

Converge Challenge is an entrepreneurshipdevelopment programmeand company creation competition that’s looking for ambitious, innovative and creative thinkers from academia, research and business at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

With a prize fund of over £150,000, it is an opportunity not to be missed!

As part of the Converge Challenge, you’ll have:

  • the opportunity to develop your entrepreneurial skill set with access to FREE 1-2-1 business support and advice
  • comprehensive training
  • excellent networking opportunities
  • constructive feedback every step of the way

There are three categories for Converge Challenge:

Converge Challenge –Prize fund: £130,000+

Do you have a BIG idea? Are you looking to spin out from HEI or startup a new company within 12 months? Then this is the Challenge category for you! Converge Challenge can help develop your idea for the commercial world and turn it into a reality!

KickStart Prize fund: £10,000

Do you have an early-stage idea for a new product or service? Converge Challenge can offer you business support and provide enough funding for you to create a prototype, secure IP rights or develop your brand! This early-stage cash injection is vital to help kick start your business venture.

Social Enterprise Prize fund: £10,000

Does your business have a social or environmental mission? Converge Challenge wants to know about it!

They can provide you with business support and the right amount of funding to get it off the ground.

The total Converge Challenge 2017 programme prize value is £150,000+.

The Converge Challenge category has a prize fund of over £130,000+ cash and in-kind business support. In addition to this, there is also 12-months of 1-2-1 training and mentorship for the Top 10 shortlisted Converge Challenge projects.

Who can take part?

Converge Challenge is open to staff, students and recent graduates (up to 12 months after graduation) from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Converge Challenge works with any idea, at any stage of the development process.
