Louise is a vocalist and composer/arranger, born and raised in Scotland. With a wealth of performing experience amassed from a varied career as both a lead and session vocalist, Louise embraces all kinds of music with a focus on her first love Jazz, as well as other contemporary styles.

Louise graduated in November 2011 with a Masters in Jazz Performance from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, during which time she was given the chance to study and perform with a wide variety of international Jazz Musicians and as part of Barbican and London International Jazz festival.

Louise was nominated as Scottish Jazz Vocalist of the Year 2011. The previous year she was featured at Glasgow International Jazz Festival at Glasgow City Halls as part of the ”˜Scottish Homegrown Showcase’ with her own quintet of Steve Hamilton, Alyn Cosker, Euan Burton and Malcolm MacFarlane.

Most recently Louise toured the UK with her Trio performing a sell out show of re-workings of the music of Joni Mitchell, being cited by Jazz FM as ”˜a young, charming and talented vocalist’.

In addition to this, she has combined recording and live work within theatre, TV and radio platforms and her work has taken her all over Britain, Europe and Asia performing with some of the Jazz scene’s most influential contemporary musicians.

Louise’s recent EP recording has been most recently playlisted by Jazz Fm and BBC Scotland.

Louise is Jazz Voice tutor at the Royal Conservatoire.
