Fred Freeman has, over many years, taught Scottish literature at The School of Scottish Studies and the English Department, at the University of Edinburgh. He had a postdoctoral appointment at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford for two years in the late 1980s.
Gary took up a role as a tutor in Scenic Art at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2009. In 2014, Gary was the head scenic artist for the props at the opening and closing ceremonies for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Djordje Gajic began his musical studies in Serbia at the age of six, finally graduating from the Russian Academy of Music in 1993 with a Master of Music degree and the Honorary Title of Solo Performer. He continued his post-graduate studies at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music and was appointed Assistant to Professor Yuri Dranga.
Since her London debut performing Bruch’s Scottish Fantasy at St. James’ Palace for Yehudi Menuhin’s 60th Birthday Celebration at the age of 12, Scottish violinist Andrea Gajic has enjoyed an international career as a soloist and chamber musician of the highest order. Alongside an active performing career, Andrea is also a passionate and dedicated pedagogue. A professor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, many of her students have excelled in national and international competitions.

Gary Gardiner is an award-winning artist and co-artistic director of 21Common: a Glasgow-based performance collective in receipt of Regular Funding through the Dance Portfolio at Creative Scotland.
Pianist Petras Geniusas is one of the most prominent, versatile and adventurous Lithuanian performers. Having mastered an extensive repertoire of classical, romantic and contemporary works, he frequently appears in recitals and concerts with Lithuanian symphony orchestras, and various chamber ensembles and musicians.

Tony George has had a varied career in many different aspects of brass performing and teaching.
Tony has performed and recorded with Modern Orchestras such as the Philharmonia, London Philharmonic Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra of Scottish Opera and the London Mozart Players as well as many period instrument orchestras throughout Europe, most notably the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Orchestra of the 18th Century and the Gabrieli Ensemble. Tony is also a member of the Wallace Collection and has taught and devised courses at the RCM, GSMD, RAM and the RCS as well as giving masterclasses at the RWCMD and RNCM.
As well as being a performer, Tony is actively involved in research, publications of authentic editions of music and has also become involved in the development of brass instruments and innovative mutes for both tenor and bass tubas.
Yann Ghiro was born in 1971 in Nice and began clarinet lessons at the age of eleven. After studying for 6 years at the Paris Conservatoire, where he gained first prize in clarinet, bass clarinet and chamber music, Yann furthered his studies at the Prague Mozart Academy where he studied with artists such as Sandor Vegh, Gabor Takacs, Philippe Hirschhorn and Steven Isserlis. A Fulbright Scholarship then allowed him to undertake studies at the Juilliard School of Music in New York, graduating in 1996.
Lawrence studied at the Conservatoire (formerly the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama) then in Switzerland and Germany. He freelanced with all of the Scottish orchestras before taking up his present job with the Orchestra of Scottish Opera. He has taught at theConservatoire since 1983 and has a very keen interest in chamber music which has led to recitals and concerts with the Paragon chamber group of Scotland and the Hebrides ensemble for radio and television. He lives in Glasgow with his wife Alison Green and their two children. Plans include improving speaking French and his repertoire of cooking!
