J.S. Bach – St Matthew Passion
Glasgow Bach Cantata Project
Director:  Michael Bawtree

Beginning in 2022, the Glasgow Bach Cantata Project is an exciting venture aimed at bringing the glory of J.S. Bach’s 200 + cantatas to Glasgow.   The project is bringing together student, professional and amateur musicians (including many current and past RCS students). Everyone involved in the project gives their time free of charge to raise funds for Glasgow charities involved in alleviating poverty.  We are currently raising funds for the 200 year old Glasgow City Mission.

This performance of Bach’s glorious St Matthew Passion (sung in German) will feature soloists including Ross Cumming, David Lee, Parker Millspaugh, Philip Scott (evangelist) and Andew Neill (Jesus). The ripieno choir will be drawn from pupils at Kelvinside Academy.
