Exploring the Creative Potential of the Unreal Engine; The Story So Far…
Speaker – Jazz Hutsby, MEd
Discover how creating a new piece of work, with a writer, sound designer and videographer, could shed light on cutting edge technologies.
An informal presentation and discussion on the progress of the Athenaeum Award ‘What is the Creative Potential of the Unreal Engine?’. The award supports the research into how digital technologies, such as the 3D games engine ‘Unreal Engine’, and motion capture, could be used by creatives to explore ideas and concepts, or create new media. By creating a new piece of work, with a writer, sound designer and videographer, the research hopes to identify both the opportunities and challenges in using these technologies. This presentation will chart the story so far…!
