Timberlake Wertenbaker’s Our Country’s Good tells the true story of convicts and officers staging a play in an Australian penal colony. Based on the novel The Playmaker by Thomas Keneally, this powerful drama explores crime, punishment, and the redemptive power of theatre in the harshest of settings.
