Visiting Professor of Conducting Martyn Brabbins once again takes up the baton to conduct the RCS Symphony Orchestra, opening with Messiaen’s Et exspecto resurrectionem mortuorum, a powerful meditation on life and resurrection, followed by Berlioz’s famous Symphonie fantastique, an opium-fuelled journey through love, obsession, ecstasy and despair.
