“I first came across Euan Stevenson on hearing of the jazz-inflected premieres of his new works in Ohio and Irvine, California, where they had made a huge impact on their audiences. In California he has performed as a solo jazz pianist but also in duo with US tap dancer Andrew Nemr. I always find it heartwarming to hear of Scottish musicians achieving international success, but even more rewarding to give them a platform back home here in Scotland, as we are doing tonight at the Tryst’s Festival Club.”
