Led by founder and Artistic Director, Graham Dickie MBE, the Singers Company presents an afternoon of songs of, from, about and inspired by Scotland to start the celebrations of the Company’s 30th Anniversary.
In October 1996 the Company gave its inaugural performance in the Henry Wood Hall – a concert version of Puccini’s La Boheme.
Every year since – except when the Covid 19 pandemic prevented it – the Singers Company has performed at least two full concerts, one devoted entirely to the world of Musical Theatre and the other to choral pieces from a wide range of composers, usually together with one or two pieces guaranteed to appeal to most people’s sense of humour.
This concert programme of celebration reflects just such a wide variety of both musical styles and composers, from 18th Century to the 21st. There will be something to strike a chord in everyone’s memories and perhaps bring a smile or two to more than a few faces!
