The Pirasti Trio formed in 1989 and has performed throughout Europe and the US. After a period living in different countries, they reformed in 2021 at Encore Music Projects, which they participate in every summer. An interest in English music led to the world premiere of the Gustav Holst Trio at the Wigmore Hall and the Dutch Premiere of the Rebecca Clarke Trio. Their recordings of British chamber music for ASV were described as “absolutely incandescent” (The Strad) and “elegant, unfailingly stylish (Gramophone). Nicholas Miller and Alison Wells teach at the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) respectively, and Jeffrey Sharkey is Principal at RCS.
