Glasgow is the second most popular student city in the UK and you’ll find it easy to find the right accommodation for your budget and preferences.

You can opt to stay in student halls of residence, Liberty House, or arrange your own private accommodation.

In your first year we recommend that you apply to Liberty House, just 15 minutes’ walk from the Conservatoire.  This is where most new students choose to live and is conveniently located in the centre of the city, surrounded by shops, cafes, bars and cultural sites including the Gallery of Modern Art, City Halls (home to the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra) and Glasgow Green.

Application forms for Liberty House are sent out by email to applicants with unconditional and conditional offers in May with reservations being secured on a first-come-first-served basis.  Please only book using the application form sent to you by RCS.  Do not book directly with Liberty House.

There are lots of private rented accommodation located within a short walk of RCS, making living and studying easy. Instead of spending time and money on commuting, you can get even more out of your time here.

Remember you can use our Freshers Facebook page to make arrangements with other students in your year. Once you’ve accepted an offer of a place at the Royal Conservatoire (conditional or unconditional) you’ll be sent the link to the group in your pre-arrival pack.
