Scottish Young Musicians Solo Performer of the Year 2026

On Sunday 24 May, young people from across Scotland will be competing to be the Scottish Young Musicians Solo Performer of the Year 2026.

The day will consist of 3 sessions will be adjudicated by internationally renowned musicians. Please find a draft schedule for the day below:

• 11:00 – Welcome and Session 1
• 12:20 – Lunch Break
• 13:00 – Session 2
• 14:20 – Afternoon Break
• 15:00 – Session 3
• 16:20 – Adjudicators Deliberation and Evening Break
• 17:00 – Performances by winners of the Scottish Young Musicians Brass Ensemble and Scottish Young Musicians Ensemble of the Year 2026 and Announcements of Winners
• 18:00 – Competition Close
