John Zhang and Friends

John Zhang is a collaborative keyboardist performing on piano, organ and harpsichord. A student répétiteur at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, he works closely with the Alexander Gibson Opera School and Scottish Opera, following postgraduate studies in Collaborative Piano. An award-winning musician, he has received the Alex Menzies Memorial Fund, Walter Blair and Hester Dickson prizes.

A graduate of St Catharine’s College, Cambridge, John has performed with the Philharmonia, the Cantilena Festival and in masterclasses with leading artists including Joseph Middleton and Malcolm Martineau. He is an accomplished chamber musician and continuo player and is establishing himself as one of Scotland’s most promising collaborative pianists.
